Who can get it
We all know that the best learning happens when children play. What is even better and engaging is when educators play and learn together with the children.
Together with the educators, children find answers to their curiosity and learns how to apply these to their everyday lives.
Who can get it
To get Child Care Subsidy (CCS) you must:
- care for a child 13 or younger who’s not attending secondary school, unless an exemption applies
- use an approved child care service
- be responsible for paying the child care fees
- meet residency and immunisation requirements

To work out how much CCS you’re eligible for, you would need the following information:
- your family’s income
- the hours of activity you and your partner do
- the number of children in your care
The amount of subsidised child care you can access per fortnigh applies to each child.
If you have a CCS overpayment, Centrelink may use some of your CCS each fortnight to pay this back. If your Centrelink online account is linked to myGov, you can repay money online.
